SaaSGrid (Grid)¶
Revenue intelligence for finance teams — the one competitor aimed at a different buyer entirely.
What it is¶
SaaSGrid (rebranded Grid) unifies billing, CRM and accounting data into board-ready financial reporting. It sells to CFOs and finance teams, not growth or product teams, which shapes everything about it: ARR waterfalls, revenue bridges, and reconciliation rather than cohort exploration.
Key facts¶
| Category | Revenue intelligence / finance analytics |
| Licence | Proprietary SaaS |
| Metrics | 150+ pre-configured |
| Pricing (as of March 2026) | From $5,000/year, custom above; 14-day trial |

Strengths¶
- Deepest financial analytics — revenue bridge and waterfall reporting
- Strongest accounting-system coverage in the category
- Unifies CRM + billing + accounting
- Board-ready output with no assembly required
Limitations¶
- $5K/year floor puts it out of reach for early-stage companies
- Enterprise sales motion, no meaningful self-serve onboarding
- Closed source
- Smaller community and less public documentation than competitors
Relevance to Tidemill¶
Different buyer, so mostly not a competitor — but two of its ideas are directly relevant.
The ARR waterfall is a format Tidemill implements natively
(tidemill/metrics/mrr/, see metrics), and SaaSGrid is
the reference for what finance teams expect it to look like.
Accounting integration is the other overlap: SaaSGrid's finance-side data unification is the same instinct behind Tidemill's expense analytics via QuickBooks Online. Tidemill's version is narrower — expenses alongside revenue, not full reconciliation.
Board-ready financial reporting remains an explicit non-goal for V1.
